Alanson Rand is the world's youngest novelist. A victim of reverse aging, he was born eighty-four years ago (his sainted mother!) but only discovered his passion for writing at the tender age of eleven. Now eight years old, he is writing feverishly and hoping to get his stories on paper before he must submit to the tyranny of Diapery. Alanson currently lives in a life preserver locker behind the No. 2 wheelhouse of the Seattle-Bainbridge Island ferry. His hobbies include startling seagulls.
